Whether you choose to stay within walking distance of our two school locations, or want to travel in by car or train each day, you will find a wide variety of choices to suit all budgets.
Staying in Romsey Central

These locations are all a level walk to both school locations. Romsey has a large number of places to eat and drink – all flat level walking. Central hotels typically do not have car parks, but there are many car parks available for a low daily rate of around £5 and some free parking. EV charging is available in most car parks.
The Palmerston Rooms – compact and charming, good quality on edge of town. 6 minute walk to school. Typically around £95 a night B&B. (Note parking is not available).
The White Horse – Treat yourself to a historic high class luxury in town centre. 4 minute walk to school. Typically around £100 to 160 a night. (Note parking is not available but can be found nearby). Lovely bistro in the hotel, but central location means many options to eat.
The Cromwell Arms on the Outskirts of Romsey is beautiful rustic charm and comfort. Typically around £110 a nigh B&B. Lovely Pub with food on site. Dogs welcome. Parking on site. 11 minutes level walk to our HQ and 18 minutes level walk to Wisdom Centre.
Staying Near Romsey
Premier Inn Southampton Airport – Typical mid range chain hotel. Typically £65 a night. This is right by the station (and airport) and you would travel into Romsey each day by train (17 minutes) or drive/taxi (18 minutes). . Daily return train tickets are £9.30. A one week rail pass is £40. There are typically trains every 20 minutes. Plan to eat in Romsey or travel by train into central Southampton as there is nothing local. Parking on site. This is a great choice if you are flying to us using Southampton Airport.
Premiere Inn Southampton Central West Quay – Newly built mid range chain hotel with upgrade options. Typically £75 per night. This location is in the central area of Southampton adjacent to a large shopping malls, John Lewis, Ikea, 2 cinemas and many restaurants. You would travel into Romsey each day by train from Southampton Central Station (0.6 miles/14 min walk) (10 minutes on the train) or drive/taxi (18 minutes) Daily return train tickets are £6.60. A one week rail pass is £29. There are typically trains every 20 minutes. Chargeable parking on site. A great location if travelling to our classes by train or you like or you like a vibrant & lively shopping and dining location .
There are many other hotels / B&Bs in Southampton, but like any city some areas are better than others. Message us for help.
The Duke on the Test is an old coaching inn recently refurbished to a high standard in a rural location. It is a short drive (5 minutes) outside of Romsey. Typically £160 a night per room. The food in the pub is excellent. Ideal for students coming by car, or bringing family who may want to travel out to the new forest or Peppa Pig world each day.
You could also consider staying in the historic cathedral city of Salisbury (one train stop of 18 minutes / 20 minutes drive) where there is a huge range of accommodation. This is ideal if planning a visit to Stonehenge world heritage site during an extended trip. There are bus tours from Salisbury Station to the monument.
You might also choose to stay in the beautiful and peaceful New Forest National Park. (Car required). Read more here

If you are visiting with family and want things for them to do whilst you join the course, here are some ideas. There are many more things to do in this beautiful and historical part of the world. You could also add some of these to an extended visit.
Peppa Pig World – if you have little ones with you this is an absolute MUST
The National Motor Museum – One of the biggest collections of motoring memorialia and historic cars going back over 100 years. Mostly indoors if it rains.
Beaulieu House and Village – possibly the most beautiful spot in England? With a fascinating history.
Bucklers Hard – where time stands still. See where the ships of the Tudors were built.
Stonehenge – iconic prehistoric monument in rural Wiltshire
